Master Mix Academy (MMA) is a non-profit organization that specializes, in educating children and adults, on the true art form of DJing and creating music, through the use of past and present technology. Master Mix Academy is a new innovative music program that provide individuals of all ages, the opportunity to experience, the motor activities of the Disc Jockey's Art form. Master Mix Academy offers the following musical enrichment programs. (Sensory DJ Workshop, Camp DJ, Adult DJ Workshops, Remix and Music Production Workshops, Disability Dance Events) Master Mix Academy does offer mobile workshop seminars, for all programs, to your organization or educational institution.

Sensory DJ Workshop: Master Mix Academy offers a Sensory DJ Workshop, for Children with special needs and developmental disabilities. Children will be able to experience the sensory aspects of a DJ. The Sensory DJ Workshop is a combination of sensory simulation exercises, based on the motor activities of a Disc Jockey.
CAMP DJ:Master Mix academy offers a 4 week DJ Camp, for children and young adults, ages 8 to 18. Camp DJ will allow children, to learn the true art form of a professional DJ. Camp participants will learn the art form of DJing, with traditional analog vinyl and the latest digital software equipment.
Adult DJ Workshop:Master Mix Academy does offer adult DJ Courses and workshop seminars, on weekends and evenings, to accomadate all participants. MMA adult DJ program does offer intro to DJing workshops and advance DJ workshops. Private lessons are available, by appointment only.
Remix and Music Production Workshops:
Master Mix Academy offers remix and music production workshops and seminars. The Music Production workshop will allow participants, to learn how to arrange music, on the latest music production software. The Remix workshop will allow participants, to experience manipulating music, with the latest editing software.
DAVid Mays, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
David Mays is the Founder and Executive Director of Master Mix Academy. Mr. Mays has extensive experience and education, with Rehabilitation services and musical enrichment programs. Mr. Maze has provided clinical services, to children and adults with Developmental Disabilities, in order to assist individuals, with reaching their maximum level of independent functioning, while learning to express themselves through music. Mr. Mays obtained his Bachelors degree, from Southern University A&M, in Rehabilitation Services. Also, Mr. Mays obtained his Masters of Science degree, in Health Care Administration. Mr. Mays has over 15 years of experience working with children and adults, with Developmental Disabilities. Mr. Mays started his career, as a Program Manager, with Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Developmental Training program. Also, Mr. Mays was a Program Director, for Easter Seals Metropolatian Chicago. After leaving Easter Seals in 2002, Mr. Mays became the lead Clinical Director, for Habilitative Systems Inc. Developmental Training Program. Mr. Mays not only worked to advocate, for persons with developmental disabilities. Mr. Mays provided individual and family counseling, for inner city youth programs, as a Therapist, for over 10 years. Mr. Mays is an established Disc Jockey and he has over 20 yrs of experience as a DJ, in the music industry. Mr. Mays has provided DJ services, for a number of organizations that sponsor musical enrichment events, for persons with developmental disabilities and inner-city Youth programs, across the Chicagoland area, for over 10 years.
